Welcome to the event information for the 2022 Data x Community x Design event! This page provides the planned program as well as helpful logistics and links for participants. After the event we will update this page with photos and program outcomes.

Important Logistics

DxCxD 2022 will take place between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on April 28th, 2022, Thursday, in the Qatar Ballroom, Lavin-Bernick Center at Tulane University.

For parking and location information please see the campus map. We will be in Building 29 on the second floor.

If you are giving a talk you should have received an email from Nicholas Mattei with information on how to upload your slides. If you are presenting a poster please bring it on the day or contact Edson Cabalfin for details on printing. If you require a parking pass please contact Nicholas Mattei.

  • Registration (8:30 – 9:00) Qatar Ballroom, Lavin-Bernick Center at Tulane University
  • Overview and Welcome (9:00 – 9:15) Presented by Aron Culotta and Nicholas Mattei
  • Lightning Talks (9:15 - 10:15): Members of the organizing committee and the local community will speak briefly about efforts already underway.

  • Break (10:15 - 10:30): Break and networking time and time to interact with posters from Tulane students and other community groups. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
  • Facilitated Workshop (10:30 - 11:30): Break out facilitated small group session with around 5 to 8 attendees to brainstorm around possible ideas and projects for future collaboration.
    • We will be working with the pre-survey questions filled out by all participants to identify challenges, hopes, and possible solutions to data and design objectives of the various organizations.
  • Gallery Walk (11:30 - 12:00): Group walk of the poster boards generated during the workshop sessions and continued time to interact with posters from the break session.
